    Hi

I am using DVD Shrink with Nero to backup a DVD. I am getting a 'cyclic redundancy check' error when shrink is running the disc through analysis, which I believe from reading the forum is from having a scratched disc, looking at the disc it is very scratched....kids!!!

    Cleaning the disc hasn't helped.

I have read a thread which suggests using DVD Decrypter, but with this software no longer available can anybody suggest how to get past this error and the scratches on my disc....is there another program I can use? I am very new to this....so if it isn't too much to ask, instructions would be very helpful.

Thankyou very much for your help.
    dvdmum.

your problem is caused by your burner it can not read the disc because of scratches crc errors are caused by defects on disc i doubt any program will help

If you "search" Decrypter is still out there. I do not think it will work.

    Look here.

    Or try this.
