I keep trying to shrink certain movues before copying them and it gets to 23% analysing then just stops and does nothing. Is there a remedy to this problem?

Could be movies that Shrink can't handle the copy protection on.

Rip 1st w/ DVDFab HD Decrypter then open those files in Shrink.

    Ok - here's a guide.

You can skip the vobblanker part of the guide. But if Shrink gives you an error by chance after ripping with DVDFab then go back and do this part - really doesn't take that long - maybe 5-10 mins.

THANKS. While using dvd fab I got an error message I was given choices of retry, ignore or abort. I ticked on retry and got same error. then I aborted. I'm running it again now. Im so used to just doing everything with dvd shrink. this process is confusing for me LOL. im puter illiterate.

Check the back of the disc for dirt/smudges/scratches. Try cleaning it off with something non abrasive.

DVDFab will pretty much handle anything out there unless the disc is like a bad press or has some bad scratches.

Yeah Shrink is easy but since it's no longer updated you need to use some other programs to give it the help it needs.

I am still getting the same problem. DVD Fab gives me an error too. Any other suggestions or programs I can use?

What movie is this? Your best bet may be to exchange it for a new one.

If decrypter can handle the copy protection it's probably the best ripper out there for these less than perfect discs. That's what I'm thinking it is. DVD Decrypter
