i've been using dvd shrink in combination w/dvd decryptor for a few months now and love it. however, recently had to format my hdd and reinstall everything. now when i decrypt files with dvd decryptor, the re-author function in dvd shrink isn't finding the files. but i can visibly see them through explorer

Are you ripping in File Mode or ISO?

i'm wondering if there are some background processes, plug-ins, etc that assist these two programs that i have not loaded due to the formatting

Do you click on "Open Files" or do you go directly to "Re-author"?

when i go directly to the re-author tab then move to the stored folder, upon opening the folder there is just a blank.

the only way i can use the "file>open" or "open files tab" options are if i've clicked the full disk tab. after doing that it tells me it failed to open video_ts.ifo because it can't find it (this is because i have dvd decrypter set to main movie only - so it doesn't rip video_ts.ifo)

Just to please its demands I ripped over video_ts.ifo and then it tells me I need vts_01_menu_01.vob which I don't see anywhere on the original dvd

i was looking at the software very closely and noticed that my version of shrink is highly outdated (i thought i loaded the most current)! I had version 3.14.

I loaded 3.2 and it worked just fine - apparently a compatibility issue between dvd decrypter 3.54 and dvd shrink 3.14.

Thanks wolf for all the help and probable brain-wrenching heartache i put you through.
