    Hello

I'm currently attempting a backup of my copy of lord of the rings: the return of the king: special extended edition, and just as with the last one, I've come across some issues.

The dvd, at maximum compression, with sound removed from the menu, still takes up 4505Mb, which is too large for my single-layer discs. I have already run a deep analysis on the disc, but alas, it still is too large.

    Can anyone offer suggestion?

Are you Re-authoring the disc? If you remove the extra stuff then you should be able to fit it on to one disc.

I did this one a while back, I think I used the Shrink Start/End Chapter Select feature to trim off the end credits and maybe some of the start from the main movie.

You can always Shrink twice... Encode as usual and then open Shrink, select Open Files, find your previously Shrunk files and Shrink 'em again.
