Ok I want to edit a R rated movie to PG. I have choosen a few scenes to delete and quite a few 'words' that I want to get rid of too ( the mouths can still say them - I just want to cut the small audio out ).
This does not have to be proffesional like the tv cuts where the music synchs perfectly through a chopped up scene, I just want to be able to cut a scene and some audio ( seperate ).

I want the audio and video to remain DVD quality with NO DEGREDATION.

    Any advice/guides/programs??

    TIA,
    East

I have been working on much the same type of thing. I still haven't had a lot of luck getting it just the way I want. For cutting parts I have "DVD Author" works well. The big plus is it won't re-encode the video (video stays original quality). Even after a scene cut the video and audio actually stay synced. The minus is that when you are cutting video with (AC3) audio (DVD Standard) you can't hear the sound. Most other programs want to re-encode the video so you loose quality and if you make a cut the sound doesn't want to sync up. I would like to find something that would let me mute short pieces of audio to take out a few words as well.

Yeah - I am looking for much of the same thing. I can always chop up video with something like dvd shrink - ugly but it works.

I would like to mute several seconds of audio at a time though, no loss in video.

If anyone else can help please post.

    TIA
