How do I copy a DVD movie to my hard drive in order to play off my hard drive later? Is it possible? Must it be converted to different format than MPEG2? If so, how is this done?

    Use Smartripper or DVDencrypter...

These programs will rip the entire movie to your hard-drive as .VOB files. These files can be opened with a software DVD player like PowerDVD. Just select "open media files" and select the required VOB's! No conversion is needed but I don't know if subtitels still work!

This takes quite some HD space though! For most movies it's about 5 Gig!
