I'd like to take one of my DVD movies and burn it onto my laptop, then convert it to MP4 to put on my ipod. Can someone point me to a guide or something to show me how to do this? Here is the software I currently have:

    DVD Shrink
    DVDFab Decrypter
    Videora Ipod Converter

I just recently bought Xilisoft DVD to iPod Suite and it is a lot faster then handbrake it costs $29 dollars but if you are looking for a good free program Handbrake is the way to go.

Ok...so I have a problem... Every time that I try to use this Cucusoft DVD to iPod Converter program, everything goes well until I try to finally start to convert the movie.

I follow all of the directions and such and do all that I am suppose to, but for some reason right at the begining of the movie where I tell the program to start to convert it always runs for about 4 seconds...and then encounters an error and closes the application.=O

I thought it was maybe the mistake that was talked about, so I downloaded the DivX Player and codec just incase to see if it worked then...but still nothing, just the same problem.

Has anyone else had this problem? What should I do? How can I fix this and finally...jsut start watching videos on my iPod =(

It has a windows gui on the front page of the site http://www.handbrake.m0k.org, you do need a program like anydvd, dvd43, or DVDFab Decrypter to remove the DVD copy protection though
