dvd type?

    when u are capturing a movie and burning to dvd...what is the file type? like if u capture something to avi and burn to a dvd what does it change the video to? a mpeg2? or what? isnt it easier to capture the video in the correct type? then u dont loose quality by converting?

    Yes the Format you Create DVD"S out of are Mpeg2 files But Captureing directly to Mpeg2 isn"t usually a Very Good Idea quality wise, Most Mpeg capture Software is Not very Efficient with it"s Compression so you Loose a LOT more Quality Captureing to Mpeg2 than you would useing a High Quality Standalone Mpeg encoder....
