Just bought a Sony D26A DVD burner, play CDs OK and Plays Movie DVDs using PowerDVD player OK (won't play in Media player) but won't burn. Swaped with a known good Sony D26A, same no burn? using Roxio6 or Nero?. Strange thing is all looks OK except in both programs it won't show any burn speeds in either Rox or nero? in properties

    Help!!

    [bold]**UPDATE**[/bold]

I fixed my issue. Discovered that with my motherboard, Abit NF7, it has Nvidia drivers that sometimes reinstall themselves backward (older version)

    My drives with the issues.
Sony DWD-26A (DW-D26A or D-WD26A) as they are called.
    Lite-on 812s

I started wondering when I pulled out my sony drive and put back in my known working lite-on drive and came up with "Disc Changed" Error in both Nero and Blindwrite.

Took me 3 hours of googling to discover the root of the problem. Right clicked on my Nvidia IDE Controller and clicked on update and it updated to the default Windows SEPERATE IDE controllers. After a reboot, tested again and all was well. I posted my experience up here because I hope others who have this issue can find their solution.

    Best of luck
    Gizmo
