this is probably a stupid question but i just bought a dvd burner and i wanted to burn a dvd. first, i decrypted the dvd to my hard drive and got the video_ts file, then i used dvd shrink to copy the files to a dvd+rw. my question is, the dvd works on my laptop and my desktop but it doesn't want to work on my dvd player, does anyone know why? is it my dvd player or is there a particular format that i needed to select? could someone please help me!!!

    Hi Zingos -

I shouldn't worry too much. Re-writable disks are notoriously bad for standalone playback. Get yourself a big stack of decent DVD-R's instead. Media are a bit problematic at the moment (esp. with the controversy over the 'drop in Ritek quality'), but my current batch of DataWrite yellows are burning fine & my Panasonic standalone playback is good, too.

    Good luck.
