DvD Writer Help

    hi is this a good writer for backing up my dvd roms:NEC DVD+R+RW 2.4DVD £175

    Never heard about it but if you have a v5,v6 or v7 ps2 then it should work if you burn to a DVD+R. Most writers are good if you use good software like the latest nero version or Alcohol 120%

    could you tell me how to find out what verison it is.so this will be an ok writer

    what am i looking for to copy my dvd roms?

    I never heard of that actually!! all you need to copy a dvd rom game is a dvd burner and reliable software like Nero or Alcohol 120%!

    does it need to be dvd+r or can it just be dvd-r

    dvd-r is a better choice actually because some ps2's have issues with dvd+r

    by any chance do you know what is better out of the dms3 and messiah 2

    DMS 3 is very new and I don't know a lot about this chip.. Messiah 2 (I have messiah 1) is a good modchip and from what I know it's working fine booting DVD, movies, EA and so on. One option is to disable the messiah 2 once it's in your PS2.

    Don't know !
    Why not buying one like Pioneer or HP or Sony.
    These will probably cost some more but the money is well spent.

    Well obviosly a lot of hd space for images! the rest would depend on the dvd burner so just check the requirements of it!
