I would like to express an opinion (my own) about the DVD back up software called DVD X Copy Platinum. I am very green when it comes to this kind of stuff and to damn old to ever really be able to grasp all of the wonderful and amazing things that can be done on these little boxes called computers although I still love them and keep trying. It was because of my limited skills and inexperience that I purchased DVD x Copy and DVD x Copy Platinum (believing all the crap that was advertised). Unfortunately I hadn't stumbled on to this great forum. Well after many hours trying to get these programs to work and all my failures I decided to look for help from the makers of these products. After numerous emails and countless phone calls looking for help and support (with absolutely no satisfaction) I decided to give up and face the fact that I had blown over $100 dollars US. I stumbled on to this site while still looking for some kind of backup help, Thank Goodness. I looked around and did some searching and low and behold I was able to find all kinds of wonderful software and information. Best of all it was free and worked great and support was available for the asking. Just the kind of thing I had been looking for when I blew all that money earlier on DVD X Copy software. Well to make a long story short and at the risk of offending some of the folks here I want to make the folowing statement: IMHO I would suggest to anyone thinking about purchasing any DVD x Copy software to save their money and don't buy it. Save yourself grief and heartache and download Shrink or Decrypter on this site for free. Both are great and very easy to use. Wish I had known about these programs much earlier. sorry you had to find out the hard way hallywood. I've got x copy as well and while I have had no major problems, dvd shrink and decrypter give better results and they're free. This forum is awesome and the help i have recieved here is invaluable from guys like nephillim, scubapete and so on (sorry if I forgot anyone). I would never be able to produce as high quality backups as I do now without this forum so lets keep it going...........

Well I'm sorry so many of us had to learn the hard way but I'm also happy to learn that I'm not alone.(Kind of an oxymoron I guess, haha.) Hey Hally I also learned the hard way by purchasing x 'crappy' I mean copy. I learn new things everyday by listening to all the good guys in these forums. AD is a very good place for people like us. I'm a 40 year old dvd burning fool. hee hee
Hey mcalister, I hear ya. I learn something new every time I visit this place. I have been able to find the answers to all of my DVD burning problems by just searching and reading. Its getting so that I can't wait to get my hands on a new DVD just so I can back it up. I have backed up all my kids dvds as well as some of my friends dvds. For me, most of the fun is in the doing. And by the way, I wish I had started this stuff when I was a young fella like you.lol. Regards, HW.

I don't use that stuff Mac. I did try one of them viagras though but it got stuck in my throat and I had a stiff neck for hours. lol. HW.
