dvd x copy platinum, writing error

I have a sony vaio rs g720, Every movie that i try to copy reads fine, and then i insert the blank dvd, still OK, Start button turns color and i click on it. The process starts, but only about 30% of the time does the copy occur. The other 70% i get an error message, to check log. I shut down my anti virus and everything, what can i do.

 

What brand and format of media are you trying to burn?

How fast are you trying to burn?

 

Here is a link to a software list that conflicts with X copy programs. If you have one of these installed it could be the problem.

I am using memorex dvd-r's to copy to, I have also used vebatum, all 8x. I am not sure what spped it is trying to copy @ 8x max.

What DVD's/Movie's are you trying to backup and what did the "Log" say happened?

 

Stick with the Verbatim until you get the problem solved. Memorex are running about a 50% failure rate. A good idea is to use a RW disc until you get all the bugs out of your burning process.
