    Hi,

Most of the movies I backed up using DVD X Copy Express has the same problem. The problem is the back up DVD movie would stop in the middle and can't continue playing. The frame just froze and I either have to use the remote to jump to the next title or wait until my DVD Player rejected the disc.

Does anyone have the same problem or just me and my setup?

    Thanks for any input

well it could be many things...........

first i would say you need to give more imformation on the
    situation you had...?

    what movie?

    what is your setup?

    what is your burning speed?

    what media are you using?

DVD X COPY is dead, no support, no updates in over a year

DVD X COPY can't keep up with some of the new movie's out now

    fill us in............

    my 2 cents
    good day...

Hi ub11, There is a forum on here just for X Copy questions at this link. Afterdawn wants X copy problems posted there.

Just to agree with freedom's answer, your problem is usually from using cheap/poor quality blank media. Good luck.

I tried to back up The Incredibles. I used TDK 8x as a media.
My burning speed would be 8x (that is the max of my DVD RW).

Note: alternatively, would you show me a better software than DVD XCopy? One that has the same capability as DVDXCopy but better quality and has great support from the community.

    Thanks

Most members suggest burning a dvd at 4x max. Going higher usually causes burn errors and playback problems. The best FREE backup software is DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink. You can download them off the software tab at page top. Also guides for them off the guide tab. My first choice for backups is the combination of Clonedvd 2 and Anydvd. Anydvd is the decrypter driver while Clonedvd is the ripper/burner. You can use Clonedvd for a complete disc backup or edit out the extras and trailers and still keep the menu working if you want to. The package cost for both is $59. but well worth the money. You can download the full working versions for a 21 day trial use.

DVD Xcopy Express will burn at max speed, there is no way to slow it down, which for your disks is 8x. I have had problems with freezing of backups with this program and have switched to newer methods. This program is okay for older movies and slower burning speed disks 4x, but you are better off trying programs such as DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter.

keep in mind that the burn speed depend on the program you are using, your dvd writer speed and the computer itself.
