DVD XCopy issue

    I am trying to backup my DVD's using DVD XCopy and I am using an IO Magic 16x DVD burner. I have tried using Simple and Advanced mode and the error I am getting is (Writing Failed, Write error or Process aborted, Drive not ready). I think that the problem might be the burn speed. My DVD burner is 16x and I am using 8x DVD's. Does anyone have any advice?
