I was following a guide on how to rip dvds, and then make an avi for a vcd. I'm hung up however because now I'm supposed to use TMPGEnc to make the avi file using the .d2v and .wav files created in dvd2avi, but i don't have a wav file! Where i saved the project there is a .d2v file and a .ac3 file, whatever that is, but no wav...what'd i do wrong??

On the audio menu of DVD2AVI, under Output Method, you need to select Decode To WAV instead of Demux. What's happening is that you have Dolby Digital sound (AC3) which is normal. If you just demux (demultiplex) it you're not converting it to WAV, just separating it from the video.
