I recently bought the KHypermedia KDVRW8X DVD burner and it burns and plays CD's flawlessly but for some reason I can't burn any DVD's or even watch any regular ones. I'm using Nero 6 and Power DVD. I also messed around with the firmware and it made no difference. What about aspi files, under Nero system files it says I'm missing but which one? I have WNASPI32.dll 4.71 WINASPI.dll 4.6 WOWPOST.EXE 4.6 Would this make any difference.
First makesure you have the latest nero(do an update) can you play a movie on the drive, put it in the drive and then go to nero and play video from dvd to burn dvd movis(backups) you will need a decoder the easy way is just download dvd43. but a better way would to be is to get dvd decrypter and dvd shrink
I just tried using DVD Shrink and this is the message I got. "windows cannot read from this disk. the disk might be corrupted, or it could be using a format that is not compatible with windows." This is the same message I get then using PowerDVD.
yer, my blackberry has been going mad with all these adverts. my own fault for following so many threads
Well I was missing 1 aspi file aspi32.sys and i installed all new aspi files using the adaptec installer, there all there now and it hasn't made any difference. BTW ForceAspi sucks! use adaptec. i'm about to trash this dvd burner.
force aspi is for windows 95 i think,so dont use it,unless you have it have you ran a nero info tool check?? is the DMA enabled?? that is the first thing you want to check
