DVP642 vs DRC240N Xvix n Divx home player. better/worse?

    There are just a ton of thread here on the DVP642 but nary a mention of the RCA DRC240N. I saw it on amazon when I was reading about the Philips DVP642. Though $10 more is it even worth considering as an alternative. I won't be playing many DVDs but I would like something than can read one of these

    DVD-R
    DVD+R
    DVD-RW
    DVD+RW

    my dvp642 plays dvd+r and dvd-r just fine.

    the DVP plays all the media I've thrown at it, from great to crap. Now file types on the otherhand...

    The DVP642 might be bested by the DRC240N from some of the posts I've read elsewhere.
