Why is there a vast difference in Read Speed on Dvd's.
I ripped Travelling Birds & got up to 12x speed reading. Other Dvd's will go no higher than 2.1x

I also have the same Burner and my read speed is slow. I think we need to upgrade bios or firmware or something!?

Have you found a solution to get your reader to go over 2x??

Had no further responses. Tried an Andromeda yesterday still 2.1x. I had a Liteon DVD burner before the Pioneer & its read speed was much higher but its burn successes were very poor. The Pioneer has not had one failure. I wonder if has anything to do with CLV & CAV initial recordings. I don't know I am only guessing.
