DVR on a DVD+RW Disc Showing blank in pc

    Quick question i have a DVD+RW disc with a tv show recorded from TV. It plays back on my wifes laptop and the DVD recorder but on my laptop it says blank DVD inserted would you like to burn files? my drive reads files CD CD/RW and retail DVDs. am i missing something. i can rip and burn to the same DVD+RW from my pc and the files show on the other laptop fine.
