Did a quick search and no results were yielded, so here goes my first post on these forums ;)

I was trying to make a backup of my Dysfunktional Family DVD. In the background I have AnyDVD running and I attempted to use DVD Shrink to make the backup.

In the analyzing stage, it read 25% into the movie, skipped 26% and went straight to 27% where it stopped progressing. My DVD drive was making all sorts of strange noises, clicking noises in particular. At this point, I was worried for the safety of my drive so I popped out the disc using the button on the drive.

I will note that I am very computer savvy, just new to having a DVD-/+R drive ;)

I've yet to try DVD Decrypter with it, but I have a few other movies to backup for the next hour or two.

Wow I can't sleep. Try shrink and then decrypter or the other way around.

I um...have tried shrink - with and without anydvd...both of them fail at 27%

    Will try decrypter now.
