Hi, I've been researching the mp3 encoding scene now for about 2 weeks. I've finally got EAC figured out and working fine. I finally decided to encode my cd's using the latest LAME codec but met with some problems. On every second CD or so the LAME encoder would skip random songs and just dump it as a .wav file. I've checked around to find a solution and tried several things but no success. Therefore I"ve switched to the Frauhofer Pro codec and have not had any problems encoding the same cd's. What's up with that? The problem seems to be codec dependent. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I've tried to convert the wav to mp3 using the latest LAME codec but it stills gives an error. Any suggestions?

Are you using a stable version of the LAME codec or the most recent one? The newest stable version of the LAME codec is LAME 3.96.1 (stable).

I use dBpowerAMP when I need to do encoding!
