i just got a game, Colin mcrae rally 2005. its PAL format.

    i have a DMS3 mod chip. [bold]should my ps2 be able to play it?[/bold]

because when i load it, the screen scrolls really fast vertically on the screen.

Don't know, depends on what that chip can do. I know if you have Swap Magic 3.3 you can get it to work because it has screen mode settings for both NTSC and PAL that will stop the flipping screen and load it normal.

    Here's what you do.

    1)Download flash 2.4 beta 7 for the dms3.
    http://www.dms3.com/filterx/dms_upgrade_2_4b7.zip

    2)Unzip it.

    3)Burn the image to cd-r.

4)Boot it in your ps2. Follow the on screen instructions. Your chip will upgrade to 2.4 beta 7.

5)Go to the configuration menu. When booting the system, hold L1 to access the configuration menu.

6)Go to PS2 Video Fix and select Force NTSC. Press Start to save the settings.

Now, all of your NTSC games will play as they normally would, but your PAL games will be converted over and the screen will be centered.
