Can anyone help me with my computer not recognizing my external hard drive when I turn my computer on? It worked fine on my old one. What I like to do is have it plugged in all the time so I can save to both my internal and external drive all the time. I don't want to have unplug and replug it in every time i,startup my comp. I'm assuming its somewhere in the bios that I need to change but I'm not seeming to find it.

Check all usb ports are enabled in bios if they are then either try external hdd on another comp or use it as a slave inside as your current computer this will determine if your housing is at fault
