    1) MPEG-VCR (Womble Mpeg Converter)
    2) TMPGenc
    3) VirtualDub (its output must be saved in AVI form)
    4) Cinema Craft Encoder
    5) Cucusoft converter
    ....
    ....

    ....
    ....

Excuse me, what do you need to do, exactly?

TMPGenc (free. TMPGenc Plus [must be bought] only for MPEG-2 files)

    File___MPEG Tools___Merge & Cut
Load the mpeg, double click the name you loaded, to select the starting and /or the ending point you want to keep , save it.

As type keep the same format of the movie you loaded (I ususlly make MPEG-1/2 (Super)Video CD)

VideoRedo (VRD) is an excellent editor -- fast frame-by-frame cut/edit. It also fixes any audio sync issues. Have been using it for over 6 months -- not a single DVD with sync problems.
