i downloaded a file titled "buddha bar-integral 5 volumes (10cd)..." using etomi.however the file does not play. when i reviewed properties of file it shows "file type" as "FileDon". this appears to be an error.
when i used G Spot to review the file it shows the file type as avi
    source:MEDIASUBTYPE_Avi
    video media:4cc: DX50
    audio media:WAVE_FORMAT_MPEGLAYER3 (MP3) (0x0055)
G Spot says that all the required codecs are there and the status reads " file rendered successfully, no errors"

Could the error in the recording of "file type" as "FileDon" on my pc explain why my pc is not playing this file?

if so how can i correct this error? ie how can i edit the "file type" and change it to "avi" or "video clip"?

I don't have a clue as to what you have or want to do with it but this might help:

    1. Extracting RAR files: You are gonna need a tool called WinRAR.
    Download it at http://www.rarsoft.com/rar/wrar320.exe
    2. OK, you open the .rar file or open any one of the rar files, then you extract it. Rar files vary in format, they can be .rar, .r01, .r02, .001, .002, and etc... -- What I do is usually extract the .rar file and if it doesn't exist, I open the last highest number rar file and extract that.
    3. This should extract 2 files for you. A .bin and .cue file. Once, you have your .bin and .cue file, you should delete those rar files now to free up some space.
    4. You basically burn from there because bin and cue files are image & cuesheet files thats packed up and ready for burning.
    5. Open up Nero's Burning ROM, and goto the option called Burn Image. If you are using a lower version of Nero, it should be under File.
My Nero expired, so I'm using alcohol plus it breaks the copy protection. ***Alcohol (mount image Sims .MDS)**

    6. Just burn it and watch it. Note: Some DVD Players dont play burned CD's. Go check if your DVD played is listed at: http://www.dvdrhelp.com/dvdplayers.php

It doesn't expire, all that happens is you get a 'Nag-Screen' which pops up when you open winrar, saying licence has expired, or something close to that, but you can still use it ok.
