What I am attempting to do is:- Copy a selection of frames from a movie e.g AVI/ Mpeg etc, edit the contents of those frames (add images/delete images etc) and then to paste those frames back into the original movie. Finally save the movie into the req format. Does anyone know of a particular piece of software that would enable this to be done?
    Many thanks.

premiere is an excellent choice as is having photoshop because it is easier to add pics to the video in photoshop.

I have downloaded Adobe Premiere and first impressions are.....ouch! , this looks complicated! I wonder if there are any 'walk through' tutorials available? If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be grateful.
Thanks very much for your comments so far.
