You would think that before HP bundled software with a drive, they would make sure it would work. I found the note below on the Nero site, so perhaps the drive doesn't like being treated as a standard drive. http://www.nero.com/nero7/enu/faq_search.php?search=DVD drive&fid=353&s=0 Have you tried just doing a straight burn without the multi-session enabled?
Yes, tried single sessions. It does not seem to work either way. Tried to burn using Windows Media Player to burn a plain CD, and that does not even work. Will keep trying, but I am not too impressed with HP and the new products they are selling without proper drivers.
just took the jumper pin off the back of the drive. Is there someplace or someone that can verify what the error codes actually mean? To see if it is the software or the drive itself.
This version is full of bugs, uninstall, run this clean tool http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_CleanTool.html and then install this version 7.5.9.0 from here http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_7_premium/ Slow burn to 32X Make sure your disc is clean and free from any smudges.
I got 2 sucessfull burns of a cd and dvd after I unplugged My other cd-rom, I was surprised it work , however still trying to see if it was a phase or if it was indeed still having issues .. will let you know.
