Try to burn it again on antoher DVD, or try to burn on 2x speed.

You got that error because there is error occoured during the burn process. Had this problem with FFX-2, after i've burned it with 2x speed, it is now working.

Use 1st class DVD-Rs for old fat ps2 or the old slim ps2s and DVD+R for the newer slim ps2s. i personally used Sony DVD-Rs and burn everything at a speed of 1x and most things work great. Altough every disc is different so you might get better results for a certain game with a verbatim disc rather then a Sony disc.

If media is not the problem, then maybe the game is corrupt.

If nothing helps, then just buy the game.
