error when playing downloaded game

    i downloaded a game "god of war 2" and i tried burning the iso in case the guy i torrneted it off of already went threw the re-build step and all that, it didnt work so then i tried re-building it, put it in my ps2 and it still didnt work i use cogswap to play copied games and it always works for games i copy but the ones i download seem to never work. it will load but it is grey and black instead of color and it is like ( i don't know what its called) but it looks like a VCR on pause. it like has a whole bunch of lines and they are moving and you can't read the screen...anybody know how to fix this problem...thanx in advance

    I could be wrong but that sounds like your trying to play a pal game on an ntsc tv...

    could be the otherway around im still new to this hehe :)

    well if the game is pal you can try to find a patch to patch it to ntsc or if its ntsc do the reverse...

    not sure if thats the problem... hope i helped somehow

    that is the problem. i had the same problem with a resident evil game i tried to play and the AO manhunt 2 i downloaded. you need to get a converter. if you have an NTSC tv (america and canada pretty much) then you need to convert the files on your dvd from pal to ntsc so they will play on your tv. the reason it doesnt work is because PAL tvs play at a different frame per second than NTSC tvs do. just search this site for "convert ntsc games to pal" or something of that sort.
