Patience pays off, one thing though leave it in standby rather than unplugging it as you will have to do it again if you do unplug it.

Hi all, this whole time thing is a nightmare, I get the time right but the EPG is wrong or I get the EPG right but the time is wrong. I'm gonna assume that the box gets the time automatically from a TV Channel. Would it not be easier for someone to write a firmware patch (ie Kuro!!) so that the box takes it's time from a UK or Irish Channel rather than a European one (ie Beeb One!) Seems to me to make more sense rather than waiting til March before both my Time and EPG are right!!!!

Ok, I have tried this several times now and no success. Every single time I go back into the time setting after doing the Auto Update, the time is reset back to current time +1 hour. What am I doing wrong, I've followed the instructions exactly...

    Oh, my S/W Ver is 1.0 STC4 Oct 29 2007
    and my H/W Ver is 2.0t K5
    S/W Build is Kuro

    If that's of any use...

Plug coax into cable in port, then do a normal powerscan using symbol rate 6887 and a frequency range of 290.000 to 403.000.

    1. Unplug EV then plug it back in.
    2. Turn on and immediately press menu.
    3. Go to config, then time settings.
    4. Set correct time using GMT setting.
    5. Turn GMT off.
    7. Press blue button to save and exit.

Note if you unplug EV again you will have to do above again, so leave in standby at night.

sc0user this worked fine! Many thanks. I agree with a previous poster that the people who write the firmware, should make it an option to slave the EPG to either the internal clock or the timing signal sent by the cable providers. Is there anyway of getting in contact with them and suggesting this?

This issue has annoyed me for a long time. The steps to resolve seemed easy and straight forward. But I never seemed to be quick enough to get into the time setting after a scan. After a while I found that the best way to do this was; After the channel scan, when "saving data". Disconnect the input ant!! This gives you enough time to get in to time settings and turn GMT off... Thanks for all the great help I've found... Up the Drogs

Sorry Drogs but I am a bit confused as in why are you channel scanning and connecting to ant?

The problem is not with the box but it is with N** EPG stream in Ireland.

horray finally my epg matches the time, thanks everyone, esp celtic 71, although it took double figure tries to get it working the last time that worked i just kept jabbing the menu button when the saving data box came on after autoscanning and this took me to the menu screen as quick as possible and voila, maybe this might help others.
