i have been copying exact copys of my dvd's for ages now using sonic record now with no problems but now all of a sudden it is stopping half just after it starts saying that there was a problem and it couldnt carry on. if i go into explaining the problem it says the disc needs cleaning or that the disc is not compatable, but this is the same disc i have always used and i have tried a dvd that work previously. can anyone help.

I am really glad to see that i was not the only person having this problem. I have had the same exact problem. I really got tired of it and went back to using nero, they should have a free copy on this site, i would suggest go with that.

It could be your media. What type of media do you have?

Also, ImgBurn is a very good burning engine. I like it the most and dropped Nero back at version 6. ImgBurn has a build mode to create images from files and can burn previously created/ripped images. You will need a different program to create the ISOs like DVD Decrypter.

Another option is DeepBurner. I have the portable version which does not require installation. It is very good, but since this is the free version, there are a couple of features that are not enabled.
