How do you extend the burning time if you are using nero, dvd shrink, iso buster.

If you burn at .005X it should take around six hours.

the recording time you see on the packaging of blank disk is a guideline for devices such as dvd recorders that are hooked to your tv and record the programming.

when using those discs on a PC you are limited by the volume of the disc and not the time quota.

thanks a lot for the info what you said about the amount of space a disc can hold makes sense. I have 1 more question that may be pretty rookieish, but why do some DVD's take longer to go through the ripping / transfering cycle. This is compareed to others that dont seem to have anymore content than the first. Example.
Breaking all the rules 4 plus hrs to burn.
Flight of the Phoenix 1.5 hrs.
