Hello, i just got my 250gb external hard drive from Western Digital and i was wondering if there is any way that you can use it with a laptop without having to plug it in. Just connecting it to your USB on the laptop and being able to load my movies shows etc.

    please comment back
    thank you

The point is to plug it into the usb port. Now if you meant plug it in so you can still walk around with the laptop, you would have to plug the harddrive into a usb to network adapter adn remotely connect to the drive by sharing it over the internet. linksys makes one for this.
