I have a hard-modded Xbox with an aftermarket 160Gb HD installed. I had in the past made XBMC my default dashboard. I recently attempted to upgrade XBMC and before I could rename the folders correctly my xbox crashed, leaving the bootloader unable to find a dashboard.

I've tried burning xdsl to CDR but can't get this to boot. The CDR merely spins. I've never had to boot my xbox via CDR before since I purchased my xbox all pre-modded.

Any pointers on getting the xbox to boot again?

Any pointers as to CDR types I should use?

Take out the chip, boot xbox, see what happens, put chip back in, boot with cdr in.

Use AID v4.10 to install your dashboards. Takes all the hard, complicated renaming out off the way!

You can only use CD-R on Phillips and Samsung drives, Thomson drives won't read them. They will all read CD-RW however...
