faster computer=faster conversion?

    If you have a faster computer will media conversion (such as .avi to .mp4) be faster? or does it depend on the programs that is transcoding it?

    Since that is a form of encoding, the faster your CPU, the faster it will encode. The encoding process is CPU intensive.
