I usually don't have a problem with file management but I am starting to have a real big one on my hand...First let me tell you what I have and the way its sorted. I have a little over 90gb of music, mostly .mp3s on my computer. When ever I meet someone new I swap music. The problem is that every time I get new music I created a file with their name on it to help me find music. How it stands right now I have a file named Music with about 10 different folders with music in them, but the thing is not all the folders are organized the same. I just left it the same as when I got it, so I have some folders with just mp3s, some sorted by artist, some sorted by genre, and some with random stuff...and some sorted by the artist with no music in it! So I have this huge mess I don't know what to do with.

So is there a program that will organize my files all the way down to the directory? I know there are programs that will organize and sort music, but I want the actual files itself sorted out. I could do it myself but sorting 12,000 songs would take forever.

If there is not such a program, how can I better organize my stuff? How do you organize your music?

Do you guys just put all your music in 'music' folder and forget about finding stuff and just let programs to that for you? Other than media player and nero I don't need to know where things are, but its the peace of mind you know?
