This is my very first time using my dvd burner. Now I wanted to copy a music concert but the file is twice the size and someone told me that I have to cut it in half to be able to burn it onto 2 dvd's. I have no idea what I'm doing. Can anyone help me please???

If the concert is already on a DVD, download DVDshrink and the guides from this site. DVDshrink will decrypt if necessary, rip the files to your HD and compress it so it fits ONE blank dvd. You will need a burner program like Nero or Recordnow to burn the files back to the blank dvd. That should get you started.

Assuming the DVD has LPCM (uncompressed) audio, it may work better to split to 2 disks. DVD Shrink will also do that for you. This guide will show you how to re-author with DVD Shrink:
    http://www.chrismccann.co.uk/dvd_shrink_3_re_author.htm

To split to 2 disks, reauthor twice (once for each destination disk). For the first disk set the End point to the last chapter you want on that disk, and for the second disk set the Start point to the first chapter for that disk.
