    when trying to play a ps1 game that was working fine yesterday i get the error message:
    The game could not be started
    (80000004)

    What should my recovery menu settings be?
    Any ideas how to solve the problem?

    ~~~new question~~~
    are isos of the final fantasy games now fully supported on the psp.
    Last time ff7 jammed at aeris's fountain and ff8 froze after going through the second screen
    Is the game in the form of an EBOOT? If yes, did you put it in GAME or GAME150 folder. It should be in GAME. Then go into Recovery and change the GAME kernel to 1.50 Firmware. As always, ensure a UMD is physically in the drive. It should work now.
    yeh i did
    but i did a bit more googling and apparently the code relates to the save file directory. So i just deleted the save and put the backed up copy on to mem stick.
    Then it worked
