I just downloaded a copy of FFX2 (my cd has broken) and burned it on an Imation DVD but now the problem:
The sound just hickups and it looks like the sound goes faster then the movie itself! and i see a flikkering part at the bottom of the screen like 10cm's ! i burned it at maximum speed! is that the problem or is it just a bad copy?

Note that 2.4x is the slowest speed that DVD+R media can be burned at. If you are using DVD-R which most PS2's prefer, try burning at 1x. Also, many people have had problems with Imation media. See if you can get some Verbatim media and try one of them at 1x to see if that solves your problem.
