Hi im new here to AfterDawn, Ive been trying to burn a ps2 game for about 3 days now with no luck. Ill tell you exatally what I want to burn and what I have.

I want to burn Final Fantasy X the US version onto a DVD-R not DVD+R Its a Memorex DVD-R 16X 4.7Gigs. I downloaded FinalFantasy off a torrent I want to burn onto my DVD-R using any program, Im using the Gameshark playing method (I still need to get my gameshark, Im might get it tomarrow) But whenever I try to burn it with DVD Decrypter, I get this!

Please tell me what I am doing wrong or what Im not doing, or how to fix the problem

P.S. My DvD drive is a NEC DVD_RW ND1300A Thanks for your time and effort!

    * The "incompatible format" tells me you are using wrong DVD's. Maybe. Try using imation, Maxell, or, TDK's, I'm not sure about the last one, they're LightScribes.
    * Try burning it with some other program. I use either Nero or PowerISO. My friend, who copied FFX for me from the original, used ImgBurn.
    * Try downloading another image. I had no problems burning faulties, but they couldn't run with SwapMagic.
    * Check if the DVD's empty.

That's all I can say now.

I wouldn't recommend DVD+R's 'cause the Best Buy said that they are used mostly for computer needs. I seen success in those, tho. It's worth a try. Strange thing is, it looks like the DVD is write protected.
EDIT: Burn with 4x speed as some DVD's wouldn't be compatible with 1x as I can see from ImgBurn.
EDIT2: I'm startled by the last message in ImgBurn.

Startled by the fact that the last message in ImgBurn is Burnproof enabled. Try using different brand of DVD's.

Hmm... I wonder If K-Mart will refund my $18 for this 25 Pack of DVDs. Or I could just sell them at school... Which DvD brand do you recommend?

Maxell or TDK. They are more trustable.
EDIT: Just found out something. My LightScribes are actually Memorex. So I guess the problem would be that the disks are kinda broken if they don't let you write stuff on it, according to ImgBurn. Try using a different DVD from the pile you got now.
EDIT2: Did you try using your DVD writer to write other stuff?

EDIT: Oh let me try the bottom of the stack then.
Nope still the same problem, yes Ive burned lots of other things before
Including almost my entire collection of DreamCast games :)

Try extracting the files from the ISO file and burning them with PowerISO.

Wow I cannot believe I am reading some of this.

1.Taiyo Yuden and Verbatim are the best media avaialble, Memorex and Imation are by far the worst (supermediastore.com has the best deals and is extremely trustworthy).

    2. Do not extract the files from the iso and try to burn them, that will not work (well it will but you must keep the lba intact)....just dont do it.

3.Stick with imgburn, it is the best application besides decrypter, but I will not get into decrypter because it is an illegal program.

4.Make sure your burner;s firmware is up to date. A good resource for firmware is http://www.rpc1.org/

5.-R media is regarded as the most compatible Dvd for the ps2.

In all honesty it seems like a media issue. Some disks are such garbage drive's do not even recognize them. If you did get one to burn, I gurantee you would encounter problems. Best advice, return those Memosux's to wherever or play frisbee with your dog, cause they are not doing you any good.

Ok, but I don't have a dog to play Frisbee with though.

    Which one should I get?
    Verbatim or
    Maxell

ISO files can be opened by WinRar, PowerArchiver and some more programs like that.
Verbatim is the best of two.
