My uncle got a premodded Slim PS2 in Tailand. I want to find out what modchip he has without opening the console. Is that possible?

If you try different button combinations of different chips to try and access their setup menus you might enter it and you will know which chip it is, but some cheaper chips that just allow you to play backups dont have setup menus.

His modchip might've came unflashed. So i don't know what modchip he has and i don't know if it's flashed.
