Firewire Compare

    Hi there, i am a beginner about this topic. I want to buy a Firewire card to transfer my DV video to PC. What kind of Firewire i will choose? And how to rate them? Thank you.

    there is not a lot of difference among brands of firewire cards, in fact, most of the cards all use the same chipset (VIA) but package it up real nice so it looks more expensive then it really is. i have experience with VIA and Agere (Lucent) chipsets, and both are fine. i like the one i have right now (see link) cuz it has an internal port for connecting to the front of my case.

    BTW: don't ever pay more then $20 for a firewire card...
