    Hey Guys,

I have tried to study a bit on how to backup my DVD games and I tried my first backup and got an error."Please Insert PS2 Format Disk".

Before I go on I want get some more information to reduce making any coasters.

    Specs.
    Burn Specs.
    DVD Decrypter
    HP 420i DVD-RW
    Memorex DVD-R Media

    PS2 Specs.
    Old Neo 3 Chip.
    Version 4 I think.

I Read & Wrote using Decrypter, Patched using ADR EA General fix as I do with all my games, then burned @ 4x.

So far I have learned that I can use some ID patcher for using it online, where can I get that? I find links to some ps2ownz forum which wont let me sign up. Do I need to swap anything? if so How?

As you can tell I am not very good with this stuff. Thanks for any help!

    Cheers.

It's an EA boot fix, but for whatever reason I cant load any of my backups without applying it.

If I dont apply it, I just get a black screen.

What type of media does your HP burner write? I though HP burners were +R only. If that's the case, your PS2 doesn't read +R discs. Only v5 and up as well as a few v4's will read +R media.

Ok, looked it up and it appears you have a dual-format burner. Make sure you are using only high-quality -R media.

Thanks for the Reposne, I am using pretty good quality -r's.........

I think Im going to retry the whole process with nero at 1x, or even alcohol, which would be better?

BTW anyone one have that ID patcher they can send me? thanks!

just as a recommendation, faf, try burning at 1x, it make take longer, but I haven't had a backup yet that won't work, except for that bloody pandora tomorrow, because i have a v7 ps2.
