Flash???

    I'm hearing the word 'flash' quite a lot with PSP's,I am a noob on PSP's .

    I would like someone to tell me what flash is?

    flash is located on a portion of the psp mobo in a memory chip. Flash is usally divided into 2 user parts accessed through custom firmware. Flash0 (which contains the actual firmware itself) and flash1 (main used for system settings). if flash0 gets corrupted it will cause this system to "brick" or not work. custom firmware allows you to sometimes recover a brick (when it is able to be recovered it is called a semi-brick). then you can recover your firmware and keep on truckin.

    nicely worded bigcuz000 got it perfeclty but to simplify its the memory that is on the psp its self that makes the psp work

    Thanks,I get it now.Since that question I've posted I've gone into flash0 and changed the theme on my PSP.
