Hey guys, I've been trying to update to LT 1.9 and would be very grateful for some advice from the pros on this website. Basically so far tonight, I've flashed my Liteon LT83850c back to its stock firmware and put the machine back together and went online and downloaded the latest dashboard update.

Now this is where I'm confused in regards to the jungleflasher tutorial. Since reconnecting my drive to the PC and running jungleflasher, DVDKey 32 tells me that the drive firmware is now 0251 (no longer 83850, as obviously the dash update changed the drive firmware). Now am I supposed to be re-dumping this firmware through jungleflasher before I flash with LT 1.9 or can I just load my old dummy.bin (which I saved from my original flash back when it was on 83850)? if I can't is it possible to dump with CK3 Probe 2 as I've been failing miserably at doing the dumping the way Jungleflasher's tutorial has been showing (via probing the MXP01 port).

Thanks so much for any help in advance!

Thanks Widowmaka! so I just use my dummy.bin and the 0251 firmware and flash? I don't need to do anything to retrieve my key first? because as it is at the moment jungleflasher tells me the DVD Key is not known, which it didn't used to say before I updated my Xbox dashboard.

    Thanks again!

thats because your drive is no longer 83850c its 0251 so it reports as key unknown.when you write the key and the 0251 firmware to the drive afterwards it will show as verified.trust me i did 5 of these today :)

Well as advised I used this method, however it appears to have erased and written correctly however the drive still does not show up as verified. I will test it now by running a backup but this is the log from the session:

Okay so I just tested some of my backups and they work fine, so it must have flashed fine however could anyone please tell me why the key wasn't verified? is there something I'm not doing right? thanks.

P.S I just checked my secdata on xval and it's still clean.

Cheers for that infamous, you've put my mind to rest! Yes I've just burned the re-AP2.5'd Halo Reach and that's working like a charm. Can anyone else confirm that they also get no key verification, or if not explain why this might be happening? also should I use the exact same method for my 74850c that I'm going to do tomorrow? thanks again!

I just wanted to make sure, to see if perhaps there was something people were ding to get key verification. Ah, well I guess it's just a glitch or something. Thanks for the help though pros! will be doing the 74850c the same way later today.

Yea, thats what I did. Thou, I only use JF to make the firmware. My old pc just can't do the writing so I use the old dosflash method. I also put the update on a cd as I didn't my my 360 to get on the net at all. :D
