Flip-Top Mod Problem (and RESET and EJECT buttons)

About a half hour ago, my friend came over with his PS2 because I'm the only one in our "possey" that knows how to CORRECTLY open a PS2. We were going to install the Flip-Top Mod on his. So I did. I lifted the top cover off, and was about to remove the buttons. I left the room for five minutes, then realized all hope was lost. The harness cable had broken. Now, the buttons obviously don't light up, and can't send feedback to the PS2. Is there a way to turn on the PS2 without pressing the buttons? If not, how do I repair the cable? FYI: My PS2 is from 2002. Warranty is VOID.

I just answered this question in your other post in this section. I gave you a link to a site that sells the power/eject ribbon who will also give you an install manual when you buy one.

I know I posted in the PS3 forum. That wasn't supposed to happen. It was a mistake.
