So i need to know which one is better. I have a fliptop and it works okay. I havent tried all games, but I've heard good things about modchips also. I guess what I want to know is that some of the problems that people are having are they related to the fact that the fliptop is an inferior method, or are they just two different ways of doing the same thing. I am about to start doing some big investing on a large scale and I need to know which one is more worth my while. I know the fliptop is cheaper but if it works just as well as the modchip then why not???

I would like advice from people with personal experience please :)

I'd choose my fliptop over a no-solder modfor sure. I would have gone for a no-swap chip if i had any soldering skill, but i dont. And im leerie about having anyone else touch my system.

i would go with no solder mod over fliptop.

    1) cheaper
    2) boots more backup with swap magic disc than fliptop
    3) still lets your ps2 look the same.

Get the Magic. Why bother with a crappy swap disc. Its a real pain in the ass.

    MAn get a modchip
Its way too cool than a swap disk
It has better booting sequence and boots everything if installed perfectly
The cheapest chip around is Magic 3.1
Its a good chip but i prffer messiah 2

Well the Magic boots everything. Even DVD9 (which is irrelevant anyway cos there are so few about). Just get the Magic
