floating point calculation error when using TMPGEenc

    my system is

    P4 1.8
    512mb sdram pc133
    running on Win Me

    every time i try to do a file i get that floating point error does anyone know what could be wrong ?

    also can someone point me to a guide on how to make good divX rips ?

    Have you installed the latest version of TMPGEnc, that's the only advice I can give..

    And for DivX rips -- I'm working with a guide similiar to our current VCD guide. Basically the TMPGEnc step should be replaced with VirtualDub, otherwise the process is pretty much similiar.

    To put it short:

    Rip with SmartRipper, create d2v project with DVD2AVI, install VFAPI converter (from here: http://www.doom9.org/mpg/vfapi_reader_codec.htm ), open VirtualDub, set resize filters in VDub and encode using DivX3 or DivX4.
