Just today I noticed that the DVD Burner would not burn anything, I tried burning some files but it failed, so I tried again but with different files and it failed yet again.

Can someone please explain what the problem is? Thank you very much.

    Hi Loste
Edit out the serial # at the top of the log - begins w/ 1A.
Don't need someone else using it.

    Nero version: 6.6.0.1
    Update Nero to 6.6.1.5.
You can use package 1 and 2. Leave off 3 with InCD.
Nero isn't fully recognizing the burner cause you see this in the log:
Connected to MMC as unknown drive with class-nr : 1
Drive is autodetected - recorder class: Std. MMC recorder

Update may take care of this.

    Recorder: <HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-H10N>Version: JL10
The drive fully recognizes the dvd's you are using but best to keep the firmware up to date. The latest is JL12

    Disc Manufacturer ID: OPTODISC
So So discs - better to use would be Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim or made in Japan Sony, Fuji or Maxell.

    File 'Drivers\InCDfs.SYS
If you not using InCD uninstall it - can cause problems. Uninstall and run the clean tool.

You might also want to try cleaning of the lens of the drive. You can use a dvd lens cleaner or try blowing some canned air in the drive.

I have experienced the same problem!!
The thing is that I used to burn dvds in the particular version of Nero, with certain dvd discs and never had any problem..
It's been a few days now that nothing can be burned either by Nero or Clone DVD or any other program.
The question I want to raise is if it something to do with the options of my pc or something with my LG's lens..

    Luckily I'm still on guarrantee!!
    Any help would be appreciated!
    Thank you

    @HauntedPu,

It is not a good idea to tack your problems onto the end of someone elses thread as it is (a) against forum rules and (b) it's easy to be overlooked.
I suggest you start a new thread and post your last Nero history log, located here

Nero 6 history log location: Program Files>Ahead>Nero>NeroHistory.txt

Nero 7 history log location: Program Files>Nero>Nero 7>Core>NeroHistory

I'm really sorry but I didn't know the rules of this forum.
As a moderator of a Greek carwise forum, our rule is to always stay on topic, and as far as I know I am not off topic.
I considered it a good idea that since Loste and I are sharing the same problem, I shouln't open a new thread.
One solution can be given to both of us and I could help you by telling you some symptoms that Loste might not have realized, (and the contrary of cource).
Anyway, I understand the forum's rules and I will open a new thread!
